The Green Longhorn is a very odd looking insect that more resembles a beetle than the moth that it is: it has a shiny green carapace like set of wings that far more resembles a beetles' shell than wings.  I seem to have encountered this species more in damp areas, but I'm not sure if this is a specific pattern - it's a species whose caterpillar resides in leaf litter.
